On the Friday afternoon before Mother's Day , the Kindergarten students invited their mums, grandmas, aunties and caregivers to enjoy an afternoon of pampering. The significant people in the students lives enjoyed getting their nails painted, drawing pictures and eating some homemade brownie!

This afternoon was an excellent way to reach out to our families and build on the already established relationships. The students and teachers were able to engage with the caregivers and continue to develop connections that will hopefully be strengthened as the year progresses. The connection between home and school is so vital in the early years as it helps to not only create a sense of belonging but also allow the children to feel safe, secure and supported through new and existing relationships.
